Common Mistakes Regarding Prayer – IIPH
Formal prayer (salat) is the second pillar of Islam, and the most important of a Muslim’s acts of worship. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The first of one’s actions for which a slave of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment will be one’s prayers. If they are correct and accounted for, then he (or she) will have succeeded (gained paradise); and if they are lacking, then he (or she) will have failed (lost paradise). If there is something defective in his (or her) obligatory prayers, the Lord will say: ‘See if my slave has any supererogatory prayers with which that which was defective in his (or her) obligatory prayers may be completed. Then the rest of his (or her) deeds will be judged in like manner.” (At-Tirmidhi and others) Shaykh Mashhur Hasan Salman has compiled a list of the most common errors that we make when we pray, discussing and explaining each one. This book is a valuable aid to Muslims hoping to perfect their prayers, so that their prayers may be free of defects and acceptable to Allah. This new and revised edition of the English translation of his work presents the text in a fluent, highly readable style.
A Reminder on the Evils of Ribaa – Its Essence, Forms and Harms (2nd Edition)
Originally written in Arabic, the book is a reminder on the evils and the forms of Ribaa (Usury) and the threat of The Almighty concerning those who defy His warnings. The fact that those who give, consume, witness, writes and involved in Ribaa based transactions, their good deeds, supplications and charity will not be accepted by The Almighty and in turn will make their hearts hardened along with afflictions and tribulations that would affected them severely.
au.mu.smj –
The information this book contains is very helpful for all Muslims kids. It goes over the five pillars in detail. A great book, i recommend it to all Muslims kids who are interested in learning more about their religion. One of the best features about Pillars of Islam and Iman is the simplistic style in which the information is presented, this makes it easy to read the book and understand what it’s conveying.
Insaida –
The book covers the most basic yet necessary information regarding the five pillars of Islam. The language is simple and easy, though I would recommend this to be most suitable for children 10 years and above. This book is a bit like an activity book, so encourage the owner or reader of this book to bend the hard pages to answer the exercises or scribble/ write down extra notes as they like in the contents of the book.
